Triahnna Miles is a dedicated Parent Educator at the Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center (ECAC) and the proud spouse of a 100% permanent and total disabled Army veteran. Her journey in special education began when her son was diagnosed with a developmental delay, autism, a speech-language delay, and later ADHD. This personal experience inspired her advocacy for children with special needs and increased her commitment after her daughter was diagnosed with anxiety, ADHD, and dyslexia.
Prior to joining ECAC, Triahnna served as an Exceptional Children’s teacher for grades 6-8, a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), and a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). She holds an Associate’s in Applied Sciences in SLPA from Fayetteville Technical Community College, a Bachelor’s in Communication Disorders from Shaw University, and a Master’s in Special Education from Fayetteville State University, all while actively supporting her children and other families in their advocacy journeys.
As a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Triahnna is committed to the Power of S.H.E. (Social, Health & Economic Justice), focusing on community service, scholarships for high school seniors, and youth engagement. With the unwavering support of her husband, she has achieved numerous milestones, including certification to train African-American parents of children with autism through the Fostering Advocacy, Communication, Empowerment, and Support (FACES) program. Additionally, she serves as the Military Outreach Coordinator for ECAC, providing educational resources to military families across North Carolina.
As an adult with ADHD, Triahnna is passionate about educating others on understanding disabilities at any age. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality moments with family, friends, and sorority sisters, as well as reading, painting, attending concerts and theater events, and cherishing her love for roller derby.
