Raketa Ouedraogo-Thomas
District/Equity Fellow
Dr. Raketa Ouedraogo-Thomas has dedicated twenty years to education, beginning her career as a secondary school math and science teacher in California.
Over the last decade, she has shifted her focus to school improvement efforts and system-level initiatives, serving in various classroom and leadership roles at both the state and district levels. Her work has encompassed program management and data analysis for school improvement implementation, the design and facilitation of professional learning, and the oversight of initiatives aimed at increasing student achievement.
Dr. Ouedraogo-Thomas is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she is pursuing research and writing on educational policy, leadership, and improvement.
She values purpose, understanding, and impact and in all things, she seeks to uplift and support.
