Michele Moore-Felix's unwavering quest for knowledge has shaped her impressive educational and professional journey. She holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood from Central Piedmont Community College, a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from Johnson C. Smith University, and completing Master's in Urban Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
With over 28 years of experience as an educator, Michele is deeply passionate about creating safe, holistic learning environments. In 2011, she founded U R Success Childcare Center, driven by the mission to provide every child with a nurturing and creative space to learn and thrive.
Michele is often affectionately referred to as the “child whisperer” by families and peers alike. Recognizing the increased emotional needs of youth following the pandemic, she established Youth Education & Arts Inc. in 2021. This initiative focuses on empowering youth aged 12-18 through creative outlets, such as teen paint and chats, retreats, and community workshops, fostering self-esteem, confidence, and empathy.
Michele's expertise as a community organizer and family advocate, combined with her personal experiences, reinforces her belief in the importance of holistic, community-based education.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Michele enjoys international travel with her husband and sons, reading, journaling, and playing classic board games. Her commitment to education and community development continues to inspire those around her, making a lasting impact on the lives of children and families.
