Mary Diggs-Garris serves as a math interventionist at Sugar Creek Charter School in Charlotte, North Carolina. She taught in Iredell Statesville Schools for two years and has 11 years of teaching experience. 

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Biology from Wingate University. She has a Master of Education from Liberty University. She is pursuing a doctoral degree in education from Liberty University with a concentration in secondary education. Diggs-Garris previously served as a math teacher at West Iredell Middle School in Statesville, North Carolina, and as a math interventionist at another charter school in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

She has taught middle and high school and the following subjects: physical science, earth science, social studies, English language arts, Spanish, and math 6-12.
