Dr. John A. Williams III has helped to facilitate numerous professional development workshops for juvenile and adult criminal divisions, teachers and school administrators, and community organizations on topics such as the school-to-prison pipeline, implicit and explicit racial bias, multiculturalism, inclusion and equity, grant writing, and capacity building. His research focuses on dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline through affirming asset-based policies, procedures, and personnel to restrict the use of punitive school discipline practices; and supporting teachers and teacher candidates through a multiculturalist praxis. He currently serves as an assistant professor at Texas A&M University at College Station.
